Work For us

Here's what you will need to do.

Since January 2007 all security firms in Ireland became legally obliged to adhere to regulations imposed by the PSA and NSAI. Subsequently all persons wishing to work in the security industry must hold a license.

In order to obtain a security guard license, applicants must complete a FETAC level 4 course in “Basic Guarding Skills” from Right Track Security. It is a single day course. Upon completion of this course all applicants will obtain a letter from the course provider called “Notification of Completion of FETAC Training” confirming that the course was indeed taken and passed. The actual FETAC cert will be forwarded at a later date. A copy of this letter must be enclosed in the separate application for the license. Persons can download the application forms for the PSA license from www.psa.gov.ie. To complete the PSA license application it must be filled in and signed wherever necessary, a passport photo must be included along with the FETAC letter and a cheque or postal order for whichever license you are applying for. €80.00 for a security guard license, €130.00 for a door supervisor license or €190.00 for both. If all these things aren’t included the PSA will simply send it back until you have included everything.

On receipt of the application in the PSA offices in Tipperary they will issue the successful applicant with a letter allowing them to work as a security officer until they receive the actual license card itself in the post, which can take a good number of weeks to process. Now the person is fully licensed to work in the security industry.

Potential employees will be screened for no less than 10 years or from school leaving date to present time. If there are gaps in between employments the potential employee must provide written confirmation as to where they were in and what they were doing during that time. A complete ten year history on the pre interview application form will fast track a potential employee’s likelihood to be called for interview.

Download a pre-interview application form.

Please fill out and return by post or email and we will get in touch with you should a suitable vacancy be available.
